Award-winning Chef Greggory Hill
opened David Greggory in May 2003, bidding farewell to the
Latin American restaurant Gabriel after a delicious nine-year
run. In 2000 Chef Hill was named “Chef of the Year” by the
Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington (RAMW), and
David Greggory was nominated in 2003 for “New Restaurant of
the Year.”
Chef Hill presides over his new kitchen, part of which is
visible behind a glass wall, cooking up an eclectic, witty and
delicious menu that spans the globe. He developed his
cross-cultural culinary style from years of traveling and
working with expert chefs, and researching ingredients and
flavor combinations from Mexico, Latin American, the American
South and Southwest, Spain, France, India, and Thailand.
He thrives on creative freedom, attributing his success to
variety and change, consistent high quality, imaginative plate
presentation and hard work.
At M'Dawg, Chef Greggory has coordinated a sumptuous bar of
hot and cold toppings to garnish an amazing array of hotdogs
from around America. Chicago dogs, NJ Rippers, sweet italian
sausage and home made corn dogs are only some of the available
choices to lay beneath your hommade chili, hot cheese,
Greggory's peppery slaw and your choice of gourmet dressings.

What makes it
special? The people who believe in it. The people who
supported it. The people who helped it become a
reality. G. Byron Peck, the
nationally known artist, whose works can be seen around the DC
Metro Area on building walls, hotels, has set his talented
mind to creating a space that is inviting, warm and
interesting to look at during a patron's visit. More of his
works can be seen at http://www.peckstudios.com/.
Without his artwork, we would just be four walls.
The Customers! You, who
donated your dog photos... you, who stopped by to wish us well
as we hung off the building painting it... you are the reason
we do this, and we thank you for participating in the
beginings of this great little restaurant! |
